    7.5

    Employee at Walmart, April 2026

  • Best thing

Things are fast paced, so it gets the day through quickly. Most people there are nice.

    Worst thing

I hear around from higher places that all tasks in a day in our shift should be able to get done with a "team" of one person, and anyone who has actually worked the shift would understand that this is physically not possible because of the amount of freight we get. They're trying to cut our hours, yet push us to get more done. I do my best to get things done thoroughly as they want it, but unfortunately this results in me not being as quick as those who half-ass the job, so they're not happy with that. Yet, if I were to follow that, I'd stress myself out even more, because it creates more work in the long run to not take care of certain details as you're going. Then they'd be upset about things like "why is everything going bad, why isn't anything being rotated, why are things in the wrong spots etc etc" yeah, bc I was fixing all the stuff that nobody else rotates and making sure things are culled and that's gonna take a minute.

    4.9

    Employee at Walmart, April 2026

  • Best thing

    Cleaning up and leaving

    Worst thing

Manager doesn’t check on us, leads push us to our limits, we are the cook, cleaner, and customer service all in one, we throw away lots of food because they make us cook so much, we close at 8:30PM and are scheduled 1-10, so we only are given an hour and a half to clean the whole place top to bottom and then are scolded if we don’t clean something “perfect”, even though there are only 2-3 of us closing.
