Additional Compensation Details:
- $29-$31 per hour Dependent on Experience.
- Company vehicle usage for scheduled shifts.
- Potential 90-day performance-based raise.
- Yearly review with possibility of increase based on performance and tenure.
The merchandiser directly impacts the sales process by having continuous contact with produce managers, receivers, and department managers.
Jobsite locations:
Work will be performed in retail stores located in a combination of Orange County, Long Beach and Manhattan Beach, varied on customers needs. The merchandiser will commute to the scheduled stores on a daily basis and sometimes to other locations as needed.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (any combination of the following job duties):
- Ensure produce on displays and shelves are meet quality expectations by properly rotating product.
- Must ensure schematics, maintain shelf/cooler cleanliness.
- Conduct customer needs assessment and report to sales manager via email.
- Conduct weekly store price audits.
- Evaluate overall customer satisfaction and report to sales manager via email.
- Must follow instructions provided by sales manager. The merchandiser will be expected to be flexible to the needs of our business which is strongly affected by the needs of our customers who operate on grocery/retail hours.
- Impromptu store visits and work with customers schedule.
- Working as a team with your Manager by communicating issues as appropriate.
- Follow itinerary and be flexible with changes in itinerary.
- This position requires an individual who can work independently and fulfill the duties outlined with minimal supervision and work under time constraints.
- This position requires an individual to present themselves in a professional manner during the time in which they are performing their duties at individual retail store locations.
- Able to communicate with customers in a professional manner with issues that arise.
Desired Minimum Qualifications:
- Valid CA DL - able to meet company insurance guidelines
- Ability to work in refrigerated environment, 35 – 45 degrees
- Ability to lift, push, pull up to 50lbs frequently
- Ability to work without direct supervision and to prioritize activities under pressure
- Warehouse experience is a plus but not required
- Able to work on your feet for 8+ hours
- Ability to adhere to all food and safety protocols and procedures
