Best thing
- Direct management (Team leads) are the most helpful of the management.
- During an 8 hour shift you get two paid 15s and an unpaid 30 which is great to mentally break your shift up so it doesn’t feel like you’re there forever.
- most people are willing to help if you need it and if they can’t, they’ll give you an alternativeWorst thing
- working with HR. as someone with health issues, they make it incredibly difficult to work around even with doctoral paperwork. They definitely seem to be there to defend corporate instead of protecting employees. they also seem to think their job is way more important than anyone else’s although if they were told to do your position, they wouldn’t know where to start.
- there’s inspections CONSTANTLY which puts a lot of stress on the store as a whole because of the focus on details that aren’t super important to the employees or guest experienceBarista at Target, February 2025

Best thing
I get to leave as early as 9:30am-12:30pm or sometimes 2:30pm
Worst thing
There is no communication from the manager on what happens a lot of the time so my backstock room is completely covered in work vehicles blocking every aisle making it very difficult to do my job. And the time management is not very well planned with certain team leads/managers so we end up unloading the store freight truck later in the day taking up a large chunk of time (one and a half hours) often cutting into the end of shifts or meal break times causing people to go into meal compliance. I feel they do not respect that we are human beings with limited abilities as well, so when we are not able to unload a certain amount of freight at insane speeds we’re seen as too slow even if all the manager or lead does is walk around and watch us most of the time.
