Who pays fast food and counter workers the most?

What are fast food and counter workers saying about pay at H-E-B?

  • Best thing

Decent pay, easy enough to swap shifts if something comes up but you have to know the right people to ask.

    Worst thing

Calling out sick means you still get points. If you’re sick for a long time you have to call out multiple times or rush to give those shifts away. It’s stressful, having to keep high metrics and there’s not really any tips or tricks given to be fast, it’s learn as you go.

  • Best thing

Your co workers can be cool to he around but if your understaffed and the only one who has the most experience, you often get more work placed on you through customer interactions/questions and other tasks.

    Worst thing

Low pay compared to other companies.
Physical labor job causes wear and tear on my uniform which causes more out of pocket to pay for jackets, boots, and shirts.
Customer interactions that are negative (ie racist and sexist customers) and harass you aren't banned/punished for being anti social.
"Clique-esque" environment where you can be isolated from other people.
Preferential treatment for some under performing people.
