Best thing
The pay isn’t bad. Most coworkers are cool.
Worst thing
Corporate doesn’t understand or care about who is “beneath them”. They need an actual HR department. Corporate is mean and disconnected from reality.

Worst thing

Best thing
Get to see, test, discuss, etc all kinds of new gear as it comes in. Also get to work with people across different musical backgrounds and make new friends.
Worst thing
Management and corporate have a serious disconnect between what is reasonable and morally good and what is necessary. Everything I'm told makes me feel like what they truly would want me to do is to swindle people out of their money to meet my numbers, and us sales associates are put at fault for the decisions of the customers as if it's our fault they don't want a credit card or want and extended protection plan after our sales pitches for those.

Best thing
I make my own opportunities. The commission structure is fair and I believe in my work.
Worst thing
Service calls take priority over sales sometimes

Best thing
Sense of purpose. Doing a good thing for the world. Friendly Coworkers and immediate managers. Freedom to teach how I want. Mostly good students and families.
Worst thing
Upper management not understanding, level of mobility. Lack of pay relative to other teaching gigs. Subscription system for lessons is predatory takes advantage of customers (in my opinion) and drives away the best students.
