  • Best thing

    The set schedule

    Worst thing

I worked at Ferguson Enterprises for a while, and overall, my experience was disappointing. While the company presents itself as a strong, stable employer, the reality for employees—especially at the branch level—is very different.

    Management & Workload:
The biggest issue is the workload and lack of proper support. Employees are often stretched too thin, expected to handle multiple roles with little to no additional compensation. Management tends to push for results without considering the strain on employees, and feedback is rarely taken seriously. There’s a clear disconnect between upper management and those on the ground.

    Compensation & Advancement:
Pay is mediocre at best, especially given the workload and expectations. Raises are minimal, and promotions often seem to be based more on favoritism than actual performance or merit. If you’re hoping for career growth, be prepared to wait years with little acknowledgment of your efforts.

    Work-Life Balance:
Nonexistent. Long hours are the norm, and taking time off can be difficult due to understaffing. The company preaches work-life balance, but in reality, you’re expected to put work above everything else.

    Company Culture:
Ferguson claims to have a strong culture, but in reality, it feels more like a corporate machine where employees are just numbers. There’s a lot of corporate talk about valuing employees, but little action to back it up.

Overall, unless you’re okay with being overworked and underappreciated, I’d recommend looking elsewhere. There are better opportunities out there with companies that truly invest in their employees.
