  I really enjoy the retail sales position, and the customers are very nice. I have strong desires to give excellent customer service and make the customer feel important. I also want Cracker Barrel to make money and be successful.

  No real work/life balance. Constantly asked to do work in excess of expectations despite no additional compensation (expected to do training/computer work at home on top of our 50 hours in store work per week). Breaks are almost non-existent for management. There are no scheduled in breaks throughout the day. Sometimes I’ll work the whole day without eating because there’s no time despite working 10-11 hours.

  People high up in the chain making very poor decisions that affect the company as a whole without taking into account how individual stores might differ. The DM is also very negative and pushy on metrics while not actually helping out in any real capacity besides looking at numbers and complaining about performance. Doesn’t provide helpful tools and feedback, only criticisms.
