Best thing
The fact that it's a remote job and I do have some flexibility.
Worst thing
After 10 year I still don't make what the organization considers the median pay rate!!!!! 10 years!!!!!!!!! I've trained all the new hires for my specialty, providers among many others contact me for information on my specialty not my manager or anyone else ME!!!!! And yet I still don't make the median! I am audited quarterly and have maintained an audit score of 98% or better (usually 99% or 100%) and I am still below what the organization considers to be the median pay rate! There are so many other things but I have to say what I mentioned is the worse. Aside from the fact that when AHN took over our hospital the person they employed to handle the change over for the codes failed to do their job properly and over looked many of us. I went almost 2 years completely under compensated! Then I had to fight tooth and nail just to earn what the rest of the staff were already receiving. And I was never reimbursed for wages I lost, even though none of it was my fault! I honored my end of every agreement! AHN used wording and the changing of staff to refuse me what I was owed, which was over $2,000! I would never suggest them to anyone as an employer!

Best thing
My coworkers
Worst thing
Management is rude and don’t seem to care about employees or explain stuff to us when we have questions/concerns. It’s a very “my way or the highway” system with management. Also the employees don’t get to have a say in anything.
