Are you looking for the next step in your chef career? The Belfry Hotel & Resort has a new opportunity for a Senior Breakfast Chef to join our team in the Ryder Grill & Kitchen. Ideally, you will have at least two years’ experience and are looking for a position that can build on this.

The Ryder Grill – Breakfast

We all know that Breakfast is the most important meal of the day and at The Belfry Hotel & Resort, we want to make sure that our guests start their day with an outstanding breakfast. All room sales include buffet breakfast within the Ryder Grill & Kitchen, on a daily basis you can be preparing and cooking breakfast for up to 700 guests.

The on target earning potential for this role is £27200 annual salary, compromising of a base salary of £24877 plus a qualified estimate of £2323 gratuities per annum


Duties of the role


Efficiency within this role is a must, keeping the buffet topped up and cooking breakfasts to include dietary requirements or specifics that have been requested by guests. When breakfast is over you will continue into lunch service for the Brabazon bar, this offers a selection of sandwiches, wraps etc. Alongside this you will prepare for the following days service.

Set up and preparation of menus items for your section ready for food service, numbers based on hotel occupancy for the resort and you will prepare food in advance for the coming week you will be expected to take ownership for the kitchen during for breakfast to ensure the following.

  • Cooking and delivering beautifully crafted food using the best ingredients sourced from local suppliers
  • An understanding of the importance of allergens and dietary safety within your kitchen
  • Responsibility for all temperature logging for hot items and refrigerators to ensure full compliance
  • Running a section of the kitchen throughout a busy service and providing support to your team mates to ensure a fast and accurate delivery.
  • Clearing and cleaning of your section and other areas of the kitchen to ensure we remain compliant
  • Understanding of COSHH and HACCP on food storage.
  • Work towards guidelines of portion control including weights and measurements and logging all wastage for more accurate GP %
  • Placing daily orders to ensure menu items are always available.

Working Hours & Holiday Entitlement

40 hour contract, your working week will be five days out of seven, including weekends.
Shift Pattern 05.30 – 14.00 approx.
