We are looking for a person-centered, warm and flexible individual to provide excellent support to our service users with mental health support needs at our Supported Living service in Eamont Gardens, Hartlepool. You will be providing our service users with the support they need to maximise their self-care and independent living skills whilst supporting them in accessing social, leisure, education and work activities.
Support Worker Duties:
Be willing to work flexibly according to the needs of the service, including weekends, evenings and daytimes,
To maintain a warm and responsive approach to service users and their families,
To be comfortable with elements of lone working,
To promote the service user’s self-esteem and enable them to express their preferences and make choices and decisions.
To support service users to develop their support plan
To collaborate on support plans with the service users, professionals, colleagues, and management.
Typical shift patters include 9am -9pm, with different shifts in-between.
Previous experience in care is essential for this role. We encourage applicants who have a passion for supporting people with life’s challenges, and who show a can-do, positive attitude.
