Key duties include:

  • Fit/repair tyres including car, van, truck, agricultural, industrial and earthmover roadside & in depot
  • Provide an exceptional customer service experience

Skills & Experience:

  • REACT Licence to work safely at the roadside
  • Possess a full, current driving licence
  • RTRT and/or LCTT licences or equivalent
  • Minimum 1 year experience as a Commercial Tyre Technician or similar
  • Willing and able to work with heavy machinery and equipment in an outdoor environment.

    Manager is great. Always treats people with respect and know where you stand with him. Job has a wide variety of things to do so you don't get bored.

    Worst thing

    Pay isn't really anything to jump with joy about, especially with how much stuff they push us to sell. Don't see anything amazing for the work you do for the company. Halfords is the lead in automotive and bike retail but can't seem to reward their workers well. Opening times are a joke too.

    Very understaffed quite often 80% of the time can be 3 people running a busy shop on most days which can be very stressful trying to provide a quality service to customers especially if there’s a high volume of people. The pay is poor for the workload especially if you’re under 21 as Halfords is heavy on age related pay.
