Salary: £25,731 - £27,870 per annum (pro rata as part time)
Grade: B
Fixed Term Contract to 31st March 2026
18.5 Hours per Week
To be the first point of call for all visitors to the Family Hubs/Children's Centre. To create a warm, welcoming and friendly atmosphere that will encourage people to use the Family Hubs/Children's Centre and to provide information services in the 0-19 (up to 25 if SEND) wellbeing model. To encourage Families to engage in Family Hubs/Children's Centre Services within the 0-19 wellbeing model. To undertake administrative duties as required. The post holder may be required to work in any locality.
Key experience and skills required
- Experience in clerical duties is essential and of working families.
- Ability to use computer-based systems including Microsoft Office and Management Information Systems that will provide a variety of statistics, reports, monitoring and data to meet requirements and needs where required.
- Effectively support all Family Hub staff to secure service excellence and work in a helpful and courteous manner.
- To be organised, an effective communicator and work as part of a team.
- Demonstrate resilience, flexibility and the ability to be responsive to the day to day needs of the service.
- To undertake admin duties as required by the Family Hub/Children's Centre Manager and Family Hub/Children's Centre Lead.
- To participate in relevant meetings/attend training as required and ensure Health and Safety requirements for the premises and staff are met in line with Thurrock Council Policies and Protocols.
Qualifications essential to the role:
- Experience in clerical duties essential and of working with families.
- Ability to use a variety of computer packages.
- Valid UK driver's licence and use of car.
- Standard Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check is required for this post.
