Specialist Instructor (Lifeguard) - October Half Term

The Details:

• Title: Specialist Instructor (Lifeguard)
• Contract: Seasonal holiday work available. Future opportunities in other half term holidays.
• Hours: 8.30am – 5.30pm weekdays. Part time roles considered

Summary of Position:

• Lifeguard during swimming sessions
• Ensure the welfare of the children, taking responsibility for poolside safety
• When not on poolside, work alongside the Instructor team to deliver outstanding activities (sports, crafts, play)

Opportunities also available for lifeguards to work on poolside only, not instructing activities. For these roles candidates under the age of 18 will be considered as it is not a group leader role. You will have the opportunity to discuss your preferences during the application process.

About You

Essential Requirements:

• Qualified lifeguard (NARS or NPLQ) with a minimum depth in line with the facilities at the camp you apply to work at. Depth tests can be arranged if the minimum depth on your certificate is not as deep as required.
• Good organisation and communication skills.
• A flexible team player, able to adapt to dynamic situations and challenges on camp.
• Someone looking for a rewarding holiday job, whilst furthering their career in the childcare and coaching industry.

Desirable Requirements:

• Experience of working with children and delivering activities
• Hold a Paediatric First Aid (12 or 6 hour) or First Aid at Work qualification
