  • Best thing

In my branch at least all my colleagues (except for the store manager) are really nice and friendly.

    Worst thing

The store manager is out of touch with the reality for employees. Also head office refuse to fix broken services (the lift, the Aircon) for months, even though they're essential for working. If you have additional skills (I have been trained to do cash up and am the main person who does it) you don't get additional pay or other benefits.

    3.7

New Look Sales advisor, July 2023

  • Best thing

The discount makes shopping in newlook affordable but the quality of clothes is lacking. Most schedules are set around peoples availability so your mostly sure when you'll be working to plan breaks or appointments in advance. Holiday is easy to book and fairly dealt with amongst staff. Management are approachable and will generally do the most they can to work out any issues. Central location with public transport access. Your given opportunities to try different tasks within the store which allows individuals to stand out as potential specialists.

    Worst thing

There are never enough staff present to properly run the store, theft is high becuase of this and has created an environment for repeat offenders to harass staff members. Head office changes policies so frequently that no two members of either management or sales staff have the same information. We are often made to stay open when other companies have aknowledged there may be a danger to staff. Working over the Christmas period is to be expected of retail but newlook doesn't care about people who can't travel to work on those days and won't reimburse those who have to pay through the nose for a 6 hour shift with no break.

  • Best thing

    Amazing team! great management,
Everyone gets on well. Flexible rotas and I enjoy working there.

    Worst thing

Wish I could get more shifts but there isn’t enough hours to go out for people to get extra

    8.9

New Look Sales assistant, June 2023

  • Best thing

    Discount 40% off

    Worst thing

Awful pay, having to constantly meet targets which means pestering customers to donate to charity and give their details in, no one wants that they just want to shop and get out. The pay is so bad whether you meet the targets or not. Definitely don’t work there

    2.3

New Look Sales advisor, June 2023

  • Best thing

The best things are the discount and my coworkers.

    Worst thing

If the rules change I barely get told anything, paying for parking, 6 hour shifts without break, expected to do the impossible, the job itself is draining and effects your mental health. I really don't feel comfortable talking to my manager and it's just tedious.

    4.9

New Look Sales advisor, May 2023

  • Best thing

    fun environment and fast paced

    Worst thing

not enough store visits from hr, store is in bad condition needs refurb, targets and kpis unrealistic for the size of our store

    3.9

New Look Sales advisor, December 2022

  • Best thing

    Staff discount

    Worst thing

No protection from the weekly abuse from customers who treat you as if you are stupid and deserve it for working a minimum wage job. Constantly put down for 6 hour shifts so you don’t get a break and it is sometimes through lunch such as 10-4 which is very hard on the body. Pay is so bad that you know they would go lower if it was legal.

    5.0

    Worst thing
