    5.9/10
    What is this?
    👩🏾‍🎓

93% of job reviews by 229 students say McDonald’s is a good place to work if you’re studying

    • People don’t do unpaid extra work

      Excellent
    • People don’t get 4 weeks notice of when they’re working

      Bad

    Best thing

The friends I’ve made here and the good customers that make your job easier. The people keep me going because when we have fun in our shift (while still putting in effort to do our job of course) it makes work more fun and feel less like work enabling to do our tasks with more focus and laughter.

    Worst thing

The worst thing is when it is very busy because in McDonald’s things can get very stressful very quickly. If there aren’t many staff about attending to everything in my particular area can be hard to handle. One of my main duties is to assemble food on trays and hand it out to customers waiting in store or the take away orders. If we’re waiting on chips to cook, or food or drinks for the order and simultaneously our dips/straws/napkins need stocked, there is an everlasting line out front lots of noise etc. It can be hard to keep your calm and power through at times. My job is worth it but every job has its ups and downs.

Staff are miserable and hate working there. Management fire a ton of people for personal silly reasons.
Expected to manage a whole floor alone. This includes pouring drinks, phone orders, food orders and cleaning tables. This is impossible, you ask management to come down from the office while they are doing nothing and get verbally abused.
Absolutely no support help or training.
    Unsafe work environment for staff.
    Kitchen is unhygienic and unsafe.
