Best thing
Stability
Worst thing
not having a choice with working the 4 day week. Not everyone wants to work 4x12 hour shifts in a week. Yes an extra day off is great but if you have kids you can’t be at home as often as you’d like.
There is no flat rates for salary’s. All head chefs are paid differently, some by quite a bit Which is unfair.
Bonus scheme can be difficult to achieve based on the budgets that get set.

Best thing
The team, and the management are really supportive to me. I have freedom to choose what days I can work (as long as it’s Friday and Saturday inclusive). 70% off food. Good support for training bartenders.
Worst thing
GM and SAM has changed lots over the past few years and they all have a different style of management. sometimes that’s stressful if they’re not good managers. There’s no discount on drinks despite being half a bar. New/weaker bartenders end up on the glass wash on busy shifts. Saturdays can be awful and busy (though this has improved with better management/team)

Best thing
Raggee music, staff that I work with, Christmas parties.
Worst thing
Havjng to give the company 3% of what my tables cost, as they assume I'll be tipped and they want to take some of that.

Best thing
Coworkers are amazing and the staff benefits are really great. The cocktails are nice and we usually have one made for us on a closing shift for after work.
Worst thing
Long, unsociable hours. I don’t know anyone working who doesn’t work a Friday and Saturday every week until late. Some managers can be rude and you miss a lot of breaks due to understaffing.

Best thing
The pay was okay
Worst thing
Management was shocking, clear favouritism within the floor staff, management use personal circumstance against you, management will chip away at you slowly and essentially gaslight you into thinking you’re bad at your job. Do not recommend ever.
