Nothing.

Management dont listen or care, staff are sly, usually dont get breaks, have to beg for hours you have already worked to be added to the rota, hours being majorly reduced up to an hour before your start time. do not apply

Best thing
Fun working with others my age, option to work in a variety of areas such as bar, kitchen, reception, etc.
Worst thing
Rude managers with little to no care about workplace conduct. Do not handle HR complaints and brush them under the carpet. Clear favouritism. Poor communication of when shifts are so you cannot plan ahead for anything. Little to no training provided when you start, and any training received is poor quality, left not knowing what you are doing

Best thing
Competitive bonuses and good relationships with colleges
Worst thing
A lack of flexibility with shifts, it’s difficult to get time off especially when sick as absences can result in disciplinary action. There are also instances of being made to stay late without being paid.

Best thing
The free bowling is probably the best part as well as the co-workers you work with being some of the most friendly and lovely people on earth.
Worst thing
The place is horrible it is the equivalent of essentially torturing yourself as the managers squeeze the bookings to the point that you're constantly running over booking times leading to you being the subject of being shouted out by customers. The managers also lack the ability to help you during situations like this and instead always anoint the customers with either a discounted rate or a free game rather than side with their employees regardless if they were just the right thing or not. Furthermore, you are NOT a customer service assistant you will be doing every task that you possibly can be doing, which is then rewarded with unpaid breaks that are only 30 minutes by the way and free meals that only occur if you on a 6-hour shift to add salt to the wound they even start pushing up your shifts later to round about when the kitchen closes that when you actually have a break you can't even get the free food you expected for that 6 hour shift. In conclusion, DO NOT WORK HERE! YOU ARE WORTH SO MUCH MORE THAN THIS JOB!

Worst thing
way more hours than scheduled, closing shifts say they’ll finish at 1am but ALWAYS finish between 3-4am, really hard to book holiday, favouritism (some people never have to do closing shifts while others have to do 4+ a week)

Worst thing
•No support from Managers
•There is a clear divide between Management and staff
•Supervisors have got attitude and is not properly trained, it shows in their work and also their attitude to the rest of the workers
Management use their ‘power’ to much and think they can treat you and speak to you how they like
•Its not a fun place to work anymore, all head office and Management care is about the £ signs and not the welfare of the staffBartender at Tenpin, January 2023

Best thing
The people I work with, the family vibe we share and making our customers have a great time
Worst thing
Only been there for a month and being expected to know everything and pick it all up with in the first few shifts - they speed you through training and don't give you time to sit down and finish the training booklets but proceeds to put you on a station where you fully havent been trained, you've just been told how to do it really quickly. And then anxiety kicks in because you don't want to mess up, like they know I'm dyslexic and I'm not good with money but proceed to put me on the tills, I'm better at serving drinks and cleaning lanes
