What employees are saying about Royal Air Force
-
Best thing
No pressure, lots of paid leave, high quality training, free holidays, travel opportunities
Worst thing
Pay, the subsidised food and accommodation is poor, bad management and bad HR
Royal Air Force Employee, December 2023
-
Best thing
Plenty of opportunity for travel. Good training
Worst thing
Endless hoops to jump through, high standards. No choice in where you go.
Royal Air Force Vehicle technician, September 2023
-
Best thing
Medical, dental, travel to some nice places.
Worst thing
Overworked, away from home too much, benefits constantly being cut, public sector wage freezes, terrible promotion and reporting system, horrendous and archaic justice system, just a number, under staffed, over worked, under paid for level of responsibility, no HR support, multi trade training with zero financial reward, terrible hours, poor financial reward for deployments and the list continues!!
Royal Air Force Employee, July 2022
-
Best thing
Free dental, free medical care and a free access to a gym 24/7
Worst thing
Full of micromanagers and people who don't care about others or their people
Royal Air Force Administrator, July 2022
-
Best thing
Social, the people, some of the working away opportunities.
Worst thing
Out dated management style, to many contracts taking away jobs, being sent away at the drop of a hat and lack of progress and favouritism
