  • Best thing

Enjoy working within gym environment and interacting with members

    Worst thing

Stress from higher ups especially during visits and constant demand of maintaining the gym and improving with low staffing

    PureGym Assistant manager, February 2024

  • Best thing

Free gym membership, socialising with members and staff

    Worst thing

Dealing with complaints, not much transparency in terms of progression routes

    PureGym Assistant manager, May 2023

  • Best thing

My Personal trainers, fitness coaches and members. they are delight, they work hard and it makes them so east to manage.

    Worst thing

You are essentially a glorified cleaner at the brunt of it all. The culture is shocking where you are forced to broadcast what you are doing on a platform called connect for doing the smallest thing. they dangle a carrot in your face promising you promotions that don't come. There is no compassionate leave or understanding and GM's are outright lazy getting AGM's to do tasks that will build there skill set but actually the GM's just dont want to do it. Considering you do exactly the same, if not more than a GM you make 16k LESS A YEAR!!! There is no justice

  • Best thing

The freedom to run your business

    Worst thing

    The rude members and pay

    PureGym Personal trainer, February 2023

  • Best thing

    My colleagues

    Worst thing

The pay, it’s hard to book holidays, and there’s not much progression
