Best thing
People and staff
Worst thing
Poor money
Paperchase Manager, January 2023

Best thing
Discount is great, staff tend to be really friendly.
Worst thing
Managers don’t respect workers. Higher up have no clue how it actually is in the shops. Understaffed to the point that you are guiltripped into doing shifts you can’t do. Your stress doesn’t matter and if you take time off because of illness or mental health reasons you’re ripped into and not taken seriously.

I have to work two jobs even though I’m a store manager because I don’t get paid enough at paperchase.

Best thing
Easy and quite chill most of the time, 50% discount is lovely and the shifts are short.
Worst thing
Expectations are too high and sometimes impossible as it just depends who walks through the door/the amount of customers you get during the day, nothing to do with the skill and interaction of staff members but that’s who it gets blamed on if theres a bad day.

Worst thing
There is no way as a manger to ever turn off constantly thinking about the store because of cover
The pay is naff and the bonuses scheme is also very unachievable for a lot of stores
Also work lode can be very hefty and The Computer system is not very up-to-date with this slow and frustration follow

Best thing
The discount is good
Worst thing
Doing things outside of my job role.
A million things to do on one day and none to do on others.
Cannot move out as what I earn in a month is how much it is to rent a flat around here.
