What are retail and sales assistants saying about pay at Next?

  • Best thing

The best thing about the job is colleagues that you can relate to and are on your wavelength. You can reserve stuff and keep them behind the till to buy at the end of your shift (if your coworkers would actually leave them and not put them back out onto the floor). The allowance for uniform is good.

    Worst thing

The managers. If you are young, you will be heavily mistreated, exploited, and overworked for your age and/or pay. Personally, whilst working at Next, some of the managers are the worst and rudest people I’ve had to deal with. Also, I wouldn’t recommend working here if you are neurodivergent and/or a student - they have little respect of your studies and what you can and can’t do.
