  Chatting to guests, free breakfast/dinner, decent amount of freedom in regards to jewellery/hair colour&cut/nail polish/makeup etc. Don’t have to pay for uniform (gets reimbursed), late shifts are pretty relaxed.

  Incompetent colleagues (subjective, depends where you work), manager doesn’t really know what he’s doing, no set structure for training outside of online learning modules.

  30p more than minimum wage for a supervisor, short shifts not worth your time then long shifts without breaks yet breaks are still taken off wages

  Unhygienic practices due to poor budget, bullying happens in the workplace and nothing gets done about it. maintenance is poor reception staff do not care what they book in and when and get others to work out thir job description to do there’s . Other workers don’t put medical issues of staff into consideration, sexism also and blame pushing a LOT from different departments

  Being constantly watched via camera, creepy even when managers are at home. They control work through CCTV. No official breaks, being left alone to manage the shop. Dealing with upset customers alone.

  i work with my best friend. we get to work weddings, which are always really fun.

  overworked, manager leaves early, zero training, puts me on days i said i wasn’t available due to college, underpaid for what we do. understaffed so we often get asked to move over and help the restaurant which has terrible management, chefs are mean sometimes when you ask a simple question (but due to no training you didn’t know what to do), have to do pot washes job and rarely do the chefs jobs like turning the gas off, have us behind the bar and pouring Prosecco when under 18, work long hours, sometimes don’t get breaks, breaks aren’t paid for, breaks aren’t long enough, expected to know how to lay a table silver spoon style with no training, kitchen is dirty, chefs put their bare hands in food and then lick their fingers and put them back in

  Longer serving staff undermining new managers,

  The money, many nice people, choose your own shifts to some extent.

  Many nasty staff, Kitchen staff aren’t the nicest, don’t always get provided food on long shifts. Get a 30 minute pay deduction every shift even if your shift is 4 hours and don’t take one.
