What people are saying about sick pay at McColls

  • Best thing

I love meeting people, keeping busy, having my suggestions listened to.

    Worst thing

Low pay, over expected performance from head office, unsocial hours no breaks. No stable hours.

  • Best thing

    The staff and some customers

    Worst thing

Ridiculous staffing levels for workload. Not paid for breaks yet not able to take breaks either. Early starts/late finishes. Having to stay over shift time to get stuff done (unpaid). Starting shift at 5.30am but only getting paid from 6am. Head office area managers are a joke.

  • Best thing

    My team

    Worst thing

    . No breaks
. Lack of rota, very last minute
. Left to run the store by myself for 8 hrs out of the day and the manager complains that I don't get enough done.
    . No career progression
. Any reports to head office gets ignored been sending out a report for the last 4 years they keep changing area managers
