Lack of respect. Lack of disability awareness. They actually spent money taking away chairs from the tills so people couldn’t sit down. I’m a small person and standing in one place isn’t good all my weight being on small feet. They also made the shelves higher so even with a step tool now I cannot reach the highest places and leads me to do dangerous movements for my body. When we didn’t have enough steps the health and safety person did not care that it can impacting me emotionally only when I said it was a productivity issue. I do not want to progress in an organisation that is so selfish and soul sucking.

As a business racism is very bad in m&s but it's accepted especially outer London areas like Watford store and Rickmansworth. Where to start...
My coworkers were bullies and management were not interested in helping to sort out the problem
Management were never on the shop floor
Work was long and stressful as it is, and new policies would regularly come in, for example, a 50% cut in our close down time
You start on temp contract, it gets refreshed 3x before getting made permeant. I never saw any contract beyond my first, even though changes were made
