Food and beverage assistant at IKEA, January 2025

  • Best thing

Pay and benefits are really good, but could be better considering the standards we’re expected to achieve. Collaboration is really good within the store, progression and succession is actively and constantly worked on by all.

    Worst thing

Constantly having to manage big changes in the business while trying to run the day to day side, but not being given the support to do both. Being told that the challenge is an “opportunity” for you to overcome to develop yourself. While I believe that is true, it doesn’t make it less difficult to deal with.

    8.2

Checkouts services manager at IKEA, November 2024

  • Best thing

Some of the coworkers are nice to work with

    Worst thing

Mostly management pretends to care about your health but then use it against. You basically either get 2 occasions or 11 days sick pay, and once you hit that it is very hard to get out of it as you would be pulled into meetings and penalised for being unwell. No clear rules, people get picked on, hours are being cut, no clear communication between functions

    2.0

Stock control at IKEA, September 2024

  • Best thing

The pay, the team I work with & the variety of what i can do(in my dept)

    Worst thing

Some of the managers see IKEA as a way of life and don't get that 95% of people just see it has a job

    6.6
