Best thing
Reasonable amount of time off, usually easy enough to book annual leave, team-working, close to home
Worst thing
Shift work, have to work bank holidays and weekends.
Will have to stay late, sometimes end up doing up to 20+ hour shifts if it’s a big case you’re involved in and only TOIL is given, no over time pay.
Several other downsides but serveral positives too.Home Office Employee, August 2023

Best thing
It’s a modern working environment, with managers that treat you like equals. People look out for one another and everyone is treated fairly and with respect. The work you do might not be the most desirable but the people you work with definitely are.
Worst thing
Hybrid working. Miscommunications at times between departments. Promotion isn’t applied to people performing well, you have to complete a full application process.
