What employees are saying about Evri (formerly Hermes)

  • Best thing

Colleagues I work with. We are seperate to the rest of the warehouse working as part of the assets team we regulate ourself most of the time.

    Worst thing

Treated as a number, poorly paid. People only progress by who you know not what you know, and if you keep your mouth shut and don't try to think or give suggestions...just blindly follow orders, mostly from people that don't really know what they are doing, less experienced than yourself.

  • Best thing

Personal progression and I like the people I work with and my direct bosses are very good, easy to get on with and fair.

    Worst thing

Work like balance is non existent. It is very stressful, there’s never an easy day and they always want to cut costs.

Evri (formerly Hermes) Employee, May 2022

  • Best thing

    The money

    Worst thing

    The harassment
    the rudeness
having managers that are not understanding
Sometimes not getting a shift when they’re overbooked but they still confirm that you are on shift and then you don’t get paid if you have no holiday pay

Evri (formerly Hermes) Employee, January 2022

  • Best thing

    Easy enough and clean work.

    Worst thing

    Treated differently to EU workers
Expected to commit two weeks in advance and then get cancelled at 10pm the day before when it's too late to find a shift elsewhere

Evri (formerly Hermes) HGV driver, January 2021

  • Best thing

    Flexible hours

    Worst thing

Depending on what happens on shift if things out of your control such as the app mess you can be paid next to nothing (£20 for 8 hours work sometimes!)
