Everyone appears busy/ stressed.
Some staff are rude & unfriendly, blank you & never make any attempts to address you directly.
Shortage of staff at busy times, means you get extra work, increasing stress levels.
Your equipment & products can regularly go missing from your trolley as others help themselves due to shortages.
Winter months, working in muddy, wet conditions.

The people I work with for the most part are great. Management is supportive. Decent pay.

Often understaffed during peak so incredibly stressful for those months. Promises of being given training for more responsibilities not kept. Rota is given 3 days in advance and in previous years it was 2 days notice. No warning about changes to work days before the limited notice, which has lead to a work day being scheduled for when plans were made in advance on a day which had been consistently a day off for a long time.

Out of peak days drag but it gives a chance to speak to other people at work so there is a social aspect. Occasionally I get to help other departments but this is rare.

Managers do not learn the names of staff as there is such a high labour turnover.
The managers swear at the staff telling them what to do, they have no respect for the staff at all.
On my first shift I wasn’t given any training and I was given 2 caravans to clean with a list and a trolly full of yesterdays rubbish and dirty cleaning cloths. The management would not pair me up with any staff to show me what to do, how to efficiently do the job and where to get things for the caravan. It was awful.Haven Cleaner, March 2022
