What employees are saying about Harrods

  • Best thing

Good perks and my team is full of lovely people.

    Worst thing

Lack of training is huge. They just expect everyone to wing it and fake they're way through. Like having to check labels to answer customer's questions about brands and products. Managers are very out of touch when it comes to the work we're doing and how they are supposed to help us.

    Harrods Sales associate, April 2023

  • Best thing

The Brilliant, talented people I get to work with side by side.

    Worst thing

There is way to many politics for promotions and development. If you dont play you dont gain anything- but if you play its toxic and sucks up your energy. Everyone can have better wages too, and better incentives (better commission %) . The late shift is a killer. There is a lack of consistency across departments and MANY MANY talented individuals leave, because they don’t get promoted based on merit, and their colleague who brown noses gets the job…

    Harrods Sales advisor, March 2023

  • Best thing

Staff discount, career progression opportunities, management listens to you, good salary increases

    Worst thing

Not much overtime available in my department

  • Best thing

    East work

    Worst thing

Not paid for breaks. It’s in central
    London so lunch is expensive
