Best thing
The people I work with and support
Worst thing
The poor pay and benefits that we receive
Hallmark Care Homes Senior carer, March 2024

Best thing
The bonds formed with residents, the ability to form resilience to taking physical care of people, seeing the smile on residents' face when I care for them with attention and empathy, getting to know their life stories - overall, the emotional benefit of doing a good 'job' of caring and the spiritual reward for it
Worst thing
Long hours, high pressure, time pressure, sometimes working with uncooperative colleagues
Hallmark Care Homes Care assistant, December 2023
-
Best thing
The residents and team members
Worst thing
Long 12 hour shifts
Hallmark Care Homes Carer, April 2023

Best thing
Get to meet new people
Worst thing
When residents pass away it is sad
Hallmark Care Homes Care assistant, December 2022

Best thing
My team
Worst thing
Money, day staff are mean and gossipy and unfriendly to new people, too much work and too little staff, management ask how they can improve and things rarely get sorted. Good care home for residents just not staff
Hallmark Care Homes Care assistant, November 2022
