What are retail and sales supervisors saying about pay at Halfords?

  • Best thing

    The team

    Worst thing

Short staffed never enough people on shift, given 10 tasks to do all at once while being expected to still serve customers and sort out complaints , ridiculous targets even if met no bonuses or extra pay, management just hang around talking and hiding away at the back while expecting staff below them to do everything, the list just goes on.

  • Best thing

The technical side to it.. and fixing cars is all im good at... the team on the workshop floor make it worthwhile staying

    Worst thing

Pay is a big one.. especially when i make the company on a standard day £110 per haur and i dont even make 10% of that...
Management dont understand my needs as a parent.
Only aloud 1 member of staff on holiday at a time... we have 9 members of staff.. not aloud to have peek season times off..
Not being paid the correct amount for overtime agreed with the manager..
New members joining with no qualifications and employer expects technicians to take time to train.. unpaid for that time spent to train... being qc trained doesn't earn you more money but extra responsibility.. list could go on
