Peak hours as halfords is a long till process and not like other retail stores where you just scan a product and pay if you want to order something we need ALL your details and then sometimes the process is long and sometimes customers like to ask lots of question which is completely fine but other customers get impatient sometimes.

It’s a company that is failing to keep up with the modern world, the stores are old and are in need of a revamp. The amount of services Halfords offers to the customer never takes into account the amount of colleagues the store may have causing a huge work load, with many colleagues having to skip breaks just to get the work done

been there 9 months with zero progression whatsoever. stuck on the tills for 8 hours without moving, not allowed to sit. management reluctant to let me do any further training or progression after i have asked many times. all they care about is sales and pushing customers to spend more money which makes me uncomfortable

Working with your hobbies. The team makes it a tolerable place to work. Some great staff discounts.

Under paid. Awful hours for workers with kids 8am open (school runs effected)
Over worked, barely get full breaks without interruption. High pressure on targets, a whole multitude of targets to meet. Career progression is awful. Manager is great. Always treats people with respect and know where you stand with him. Job has a wide variety of things to do so you don't get bored.
Worst thing
Pay isn't really anything to jump with joy about, especially with how much stuff they push us to sell. Don't see anything amazing for the work you do for the company. Halfords is the lead in automotive and bike retail but can't seem to reward their workers well. Opening times are a joke too.
