Best thing
The perks and holidays are really good and the rewards systems (shine with signet) and incentives are always fun, whether set up by our manager or as a district. Our district manager is also amazing and laid back but still knows how to make sure everyone is on target. There's many support systems through the company along with mental health support and 2 vouchers per year to help us buy clothes. Everyone is supportive of eachother
Worst thing
There is a lot of training to work there. Learning all about different watch functions and metals and safety too especially to do with theft and shoplifting. There is a lot of revising to do for it and it takes a lot of time to get used to things, but you get used to the routine after a while. The job I would recommend, in terms of under 18s, to students who are more academic since it really helps with revision techniques and study systems

Best thing
The team are amazing, staff discounts, part time positions and they hire a lot of students
Worst thing
Management
Rotas are changed a day before and days requested off are often dismissed and ignored
Holidays have to be booked at the start of the year and go down in the list of when you joined (you could be left with none of the holidays you want)
Talked bad about for calling in and not supported
Often you'll end up staying later and won't be paid for the time
The job is stressful and there is no support given by the manager
Turns out vet is extremely high and training is poor

Best thing
Helps advance knowledge and skills in a variety of areas and the interaction with nice customers is always good!
Worst thing
Underpaid (minimum wage), not paid for breaks, over worked, targeted on everything you do and are constantly told what you are failing at, the more competent you are the more responsibility you are given for the same wage. Finally the job description of “sales associate” is the bare minimum of what we do, it should be a a skilled job. Can do easier work at other companies for more money and less stress.
