H&M job reviews

  • Best thing

    Staff discount

    Worst thing

Working at the customer service centre in Edinburgh would have you think you are only working for H&M but that’s not true. They make you do customer service for at least 3 other brands including COS, ARKET, MONKI, WEEKDAY & OTHER STORIES. So you are in fact providing customer service to UK and International customers, for 3/4 different brands at a time via phone/email and chat all whilst being paid less than £10 an hour. After 2 years of remote working they have now started firing people who cannot commit to hybrid working as they want people in the office for 8 shifts a month now and refuse to accept peoples medical or mental health circumstances as reasons for not being able to commute to work. Even though the job was perfectly fine to do 100% remotely for 2 years, apparently it’s not anymore. Also the process for being off, I personally have had covid twice, my child has had it and we also had a death in the family but apparently being off for these unavoidable reasons was good enough to drag me into a disciplinary meeting which the outcome could mean losing my job. I really recommend avoiding this place if you can.

    6.0

    H&M Customer service, August 2022

  • Best thing

The discounts are great and other offers and treats. All stores have great teams. Good shifts. A good job for students to have for a little bit of money on the side.

    Worst thing

Head office don’t really know what happens and how stressful and hard it can be at times. The pay isn’t great when you work almost full time and doesn’t represent the hard work you do for the store and what you have to put up with when you’re on the shop floor
