Best thing
The people I work with, we have a great team now
Worst thing

Best thing
The people, not including management I’ve met some great people through it but the reality is that would most likely happen in any job so that’s not really a thing,
Worst thing
Management is terrible, no staff everyone is constantly doing 2 people’s jobs. The work is repetitive and mind numbing. The lack of hours resulting in low pay months. The total lack of respect or appreciation for the work you get done. No benefits like any form of work gatherings or social events to show you are actually appreciated. General lack of awareness by the manager specifically is ridiculous they don’t care and as a result it impacts all staff its all just about numbers and profit total lack of well being for staff mentally even despite the supposed things in place it’s all just a corporate shambles and front it’s just profit profit. No care for people at all. Another thing being told by upper management they have had the best profit year in terms of money but then cutting everyone’s hours is a complete slap in the face and no empathy towards its employees

Worst thing
Managers don't do anything about other members of staff awful behaviour we are made to work in a sometimes unsafe environment down to the behaviour of a certain male staff member. All staff have complained about it nothing is done about it

Best thing
The staff discount
Worst thing
The management, absolutely no personal skills at all.
The company trust you - you're searched upon leaving the store & can't manage the stock file so every online order gets messed up.
The pay is absolutely disgusting, especially as you're in a role that requires specialist knowledge. Advising people about climbing safety equipment, servicing & building bikes, giving outdoor activities & equipment advice. This is niche stuff and should be paid for!Go Outdoors Retail assistant, June 2022
