  • Best thing

    It's rewarding being able to help people and actually find what they require, being able to talk to people and develop my own personal skills is also good. Sales can be fun at times.
    Most of the coworkers are sound people who are in the same shoes as you.
    Managers are nice people who want the best in terms of sales and employees but go about it in the wrong way.

    Worst thing

    Managers often push for targets that are not achievable with what they provide you, for example discounts.
    Having to deal with people being rude to you on an hourly basis because your store is lacking in things such as stock or systems not working.
    Hours are massively overloaded and sometimes you will find a 16 or 17 year old working 11 hours or more without being asked beforehand.
    We get shoplifters nearly on a daily basis and when things kick off it can make you feel unsafe, especially when the police react in a way towards us which makes us feel we have acted wrong.
    Abuse thrown at repair teams for not being able to provide returns or repairs can result in workers having to take breaks either for their safety or mental health. And so on.
