    Staff members are great, team leaders are understanding and some regular customers are nice to chat to. Well staffed so don’t feel guilty if having to call in sick or book holiday. An open to close shift doesn’t feel as long as you think it would as there’s usually always something to do.

    Worst thing

    Customers can often be entitled, rude or even become violent occasionally. Despite having a website with all prices listed people constantly ask for more. Customer expectations are down right delusional for second hand items. Customers often bring dirty items thinking we would want to clean them for them. Being a sales assistant requires quite a bit more than just the ability to serve customers, minimum wage doesn’t quite feel justified at times, especially if you take up testing as well.

    Relaxed environment, no uniform, like minded team members/customers and fairly easy

    Worst thing

    Don’t get paid nearly enough to deal with half the customer complaints/threats. Also expected to take on more than none tile entitles for no extra pay and head office are uninformed about in store operations and lack empathy towards employees

    Difficult customers who do not understand consumer law. They feel they have a right to anything and everything. The sort of person who argues the toss of varies shades of a colour chart just to be awkward. Some people can be difficult to work with. They are not respectful of others
