  Flexible working hours were refused when I needed to take my child to school occasionally during the week (previously authorised by previous managers). I have not been authorised to have Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, Boxing Day or New Year’s Day off as paid holiday for the past three years even though I would book 2 years in advance! I have always been second-best within my team over a long loyal period of time I have worked for Bupa. But I have never been given the opportunity to progress/go up the ladder within Bupa, they would rather hire someone from outside of Bupa with zero experience or qualifications.. For them to try the job and eventually leave after about a year or less due to being underpaid for basically being a multi tradesman as well as a compliance manager. Because of our customer base in our specific care home it is much harder to maintain the building in comparison to other Bupa care homes.
