Worst thing
Pay inadequate for role.

Best thing
I like the place and people I work with
Worst thing
Being paid minimum wage, I feel the organisation massively under values our unique skills and experience required for the role. I work in one of the enterprises and have a set of niche and very specialist skills, as well as supporting people with complex needs. This is alot to be expected of for minimum wage.

Best thing
I enjoy the flexibility of my work, this includes shifts and also the services I work at (i.e. if I decide to work at different services it is simple and easy for me to do so—whether that be picking up extra shifts outside of my contracted services or changing services for whatever reason). I also like the pay I receive, especially for sleep ins (night shifts) as I get twice as much as I had done with my previous company.
Worst thing
Perhaps the unsociable hours (i.e. sleep ins), however, I do not mind this as I still get to sleep throughout the night and get paid my waking hourly rate if I am woken up/unable to sleep due to work-related situations.

The individuals we support.
Worst thing
Training all to minimum standard to meet legal requirements rather an improve competence of staff. Low level of training through out hierarchy resulting in low evidence based outcomes.

Best thing
Helping people is great and very rewarding
Worst thing
They are people farming and care more about money hence placing service users or people we support into homes that they do not fit into, to avoid losing the tenure to that individual or have a void in a service
