Management. The worst group of people with no people skills, no respect, no understanding. Their sole objective is to make their staff lives hell. You get told where to stand and not to move. Booked time off, and they told me I have to cancel it no notice given. Constantly spying through other managers/colleagues/cctv.

The pay. Management who love to rule with fear. Unreasonable demands, slag you off for calling in sick even if you have covid. Treat you like a child where you have to ‘ask’ to go to the toilet. Watch you constantly on CCTV to see what you’re doing. Not allowed to talk to colleagues in the shop floor. Don’t even want to give time off for hospital/dr appointments/funerals.

The tills can get irritating at times. It would be better if they had an operations team and a till team. Also the upper management can be very cliquey with certain stores and sometimes unfriendly; it all depends on who’s in charge and very good managers can be told they are doing a bad job but they don’t give enough staff or see what it’s like to work there themselves.
