    3.7

    Sales assistant, April 2021

    • £8.91 per hour
  • Best thing

Since a large portion of our staff (sales assistants) are students, managers are pretty understanding when you need to take time off for study.
We have a group chat in which people can ask for shift swaps/covers and people normally respond fairly quickly.

    Worst thing

Despite being a very busy store, there are only 6 tills which all require a member of staff to use (rather than self-service) which means that during peak times (especially the weekend) the queues are often the whole way down the store. This also means that customers get bored of waiting and leave their full trolleys and baskets in the aisles.
Only certain staff are authorised to perform refunds/returns and so to do so you need to call for a supervisor which can sometimes take a while.
