Best thing
Talking to nice customers, colleagues. My initial training was good. I felt confident in what I was doing by the end.
Worst thing
Poor management, treated poorly. No work life balance, no respect for you. Make you feel bad for being ill. Don’t get paid breaks. Hard to book holiday. You say a date and they say you can’t have it. Understaffed. Mostly students not many full time so shifts are all over the place and then you usually get called in last minute because they didn’t plan properly or someone is off. Often end up staying late. Stressful especially when you have rude customers to deal with. Unrealistic expectations from management in higher positions who don’t know what the store is actually like. No real benefits. 10% is okay but not for what you actually do. Wouldn’t recommend to anyone…
