The senior managers don’t have a clue what the team do and pay us, in my opinion very little but expect us to work over hours and hit targets that are too far for us to reach

Flexibility, amazing team
Worst thing
Would be better to paid more than minimum wage due to the commute as alton towers is not near to my address. Staff perks would also be advantageous as im contracted by HB Leisure and not Merlin so we don’t get any staff discounts or benefits despite working and doing the same thing.

Best thing
There are non its a nightmare
Worst thing
Overworked- often made to work longer hours then the shift was planned for, very very long hours. Staff bus timetable is ridiculous often waiting a very long time. Wasn't added to the rota spreadsheet and after asking was never informed what shifts I was on so angry managers calling asking where I was but never Informed me that I had a shift. Little flexibility on rota changes, often not asked what days I could and couldn't do. Was not payed for a couple weeks when I first joined. Summers get very hot under a glass roof-difficult working environment- managers don't seem to care about this. Staff very clique-y unwelcoming to newcomers.

Best thing
Out of all the best thing is that you are sociable and you get to engage. I get to work as a team.
Worst thing
Sometimes you get given a set job which is too much and is unfair in a way. You could have a 8 rooms to clean which another employee has 3 but you would get paid the same.
