The National Living Wage (Minimum Wage) for people over 23-year-olds in the UK is currently £9.50
The current National Living Wage which is also known as the minimum wage for anyone aged 23 years old or over is £9.50 per hour. This will increase to £10.42 from April 1st 2023.
The National Living Wage is what the UK government call the minimum wage for people over 23 years old. It is the minumum someone over the age of 23 should earn hourly and is reviewed and increased usually annually in April.
It is not to be confused with the Real Living Wage which is voluntarily paid by over 11,000 UK businesses. The Real Living Wage is £10.90 outside of London and £11.95 inside of London.
