Tesco is to increase by 7% to a minimum of £11.02 an hour for their hourly pay for staff from April 2023.
The UK's largest supermarket chain Tesco has announced they are increasing their minimum wage to £11 per hour from April 2023.
According to the Breakroom community, Tesco is currently the 4th highest-rated supermarket to work for in the UK with the top-rated supermarkets being Waitrose, Aldi and Sainsbury's.
The pay increase will put Britain’s biggest supermarket chain on ahead of Aldi and Sainsbury’s – which pay £11 an hour, and on track to beat rival Asda, which will raise pay to at least £11 an hour in April then to £11.11 in July. Aldi raised their pay to £11 per hour this month, ahead of rivals Tesco (6th) and Morrisons (14th).
