Greggs workers get a pay increase to £10.60 an hour

Greggs has increased its hourly pay to £10.60 an hour from January 1st 2023.

Bakery chain Greggs has said its shop workers would be paid at least £10.60 an hour from 1 January 2023 an increase from £9.62.

According to the Breakroom community, Greggs is currently the highest-rated cafe/ bakery chain to work for in the UK with others being Gail's, Cooplands and Starbucks .

The pay increase is being introduced three months earlier than the usual pay review and is above the National Living Wage for people aged 23 and over, which will increase from £9.50 to £10.42 on 1 April.

Greggs is also planning to open 150 more stores this year – including several more Tasty outlets in Primark.
