Staff name betting shops as the worst place to work in the UK

That's one of the reasons we've quizzed over 228,000 frontline shift workers in the UK to find out what their jobs are really like.

We've carefully studied all the responses and can exclusively reveal the lowest-rated industries to work in the UK.

You told us that betting shops are the worst place to work.

With social care providers, hotels, charity shops and Fast-food restaurants making up the top 5. 📉

Our data revealed:

70% of betting shop workers say they often feel stressed at work. 84% said they don’t get paid breaks, and 58% said they are paid below the Real Living Wage for where they live.

Whilst 75% of social care workers say they often feel stressed at work.

70% said they don’t get paid breaks and 40% report getting one week's notice or less for their shifts. 

Fast-food restaurant workers also reported that 53% are on zero-hours contracts, 84% of people said that they don’t get paid breaks, and 81% said they are paid below the Real Living Wage for where they live.
